Effective June 21, 2020 all persons who are present in the city of Goodyear must wear a face covering in public whenever they are within six feet of another person who is not a member of their family or household.

June 17, 2020, Governor Doug Ducey announced enhanced actions to contain the spread of the virus and protect Arizona’s residents. A few of the requirements statewide, include:

  • Physically distancing of 6 feet;
  • Providing employees with face-coverings and requiring usage;
  • Conducting symptom checks for all employees before shifts;
  • Requiring sick employees to stay home;
  • And, increasing the frequency of employee hygiene, cleaning and disinfecting.

SAFEST OUTSIDE RESTAURANT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (SORAD) The State of Arizona created the Safest Outside Restaurant Assistance Program, which is designed to assist bars and restaurants with funding for the infrastructure needed to expand their premises. With $1 million total in the fund, businesses may apply for up to $10,000 to cover expenditures for items restaurants need to extend their premises to approved outdoor spaces such as outdoor furniture, barriers, patio heaters, or parklets.
